Why am I so focused on Caribbean Arts?
Yes, I’m the little girl wearing the white dress. I’m from Guadeloupe, and as far as I can remember, I’m proud to be Caribbean. I love my culture, my people, my territory, and our sister islands. After studying Art, Design, Marketing, and Digital in the Caribbean and Europe, plus several years working for international advertising agencies, I came back to my homeland.
For 5 years now, I’ve been sourcing Caribbean arts events and working on the digitalization of 900+ Caribbean Artists via my online media Caribeart (+50 millions reach since 2018).
Nowadays, we still lack accessible global datas around Caribbean Arts (visual art, music, dance) on the mainstream platforms and social media, and most of our 350+ cultural spaces don’t have an effective digital presence (website, google maps…).
It’s not a secret, Caribbean territories give birth to some of the best artists in the world. We need to continue to bridge the Gap between Culture and Tech, and to uplift our Caribbean Creatives Economy. This is the reason why I’ve created The Epicentrum.
She launched in 2023, The Epicentrum, a two-day online conference, to bridge the gap between Culture and Tech in the Caribbean space (immersive & interactive experiences, NFT, AR, VR, Meta-Human, Web 3.0, Crypto, Digital Market Trends …).
The Epicentrum brings together +250 professionals in the Caribbean Creatives Industries, with international speakers that works with: Facebook, Linkedin, Time Magazine, MET Museum, Disney, Harvard Extension School in Museum Experience Design and Digital Technologies…
